5 POCKETS SELVEDDEN DENIM

The personalised 5-pocket selvedge piece is made from white denim. The weaving with which the selvedge denim is woven travels with mechanical shuttle looms of "ancient" conception, whose design and construction date back to the immediate post-war period. The need to combine a quality craftsmanship to a productivity that, at the time, was higher and more uniform than that of manual weaving, meant that the model of wooden frame, operated by the person, was transformed into a small electromechanical jewel. The fiber worked in "slow motion" where the shuttle slowly spreads the thread in a continuous back and forth for the entire height of the comb, undergoes a "stress" almost equal to zero, keeping intact during the most important processing of the production cycle. Denim is thus produced, as it was 70 years ago, with the same techniques, the same textile machines and a staff that has inherited directly a know-how that has its roots in a distant past, that of the pre-industrial domestic textile art.
